Supergirl, also known as Kara Zor-El, is a Kryptonian refugee who arrived on Earth as a teenager after escaping the destruction of her home planet. Her pod was knocked off course, trapping her in the Phantom Zone for years before she finally landed on Earth.

Adopted by the Danvers family, Kara lived a normal life while concealing her powers. As an adult, inspired by her cousin Superman, she embraced her destiny as Supergirl to protect Earth from various threats, both terrestrial and extraterrestrial.

Portrayed by Melissa Benoist, this version of Supergirl first appeared in the TV Show Supergirl in 2015 on CBS, before moving to The CW as part of the Arrowverse on Earth. Her character went on to be featured in other Arrowverse crossovers. She even battled a version of herself created in a lab.
